Day 9 - All together

I dont know where we went, but this mall outlet place that I've never strolled in but the bottom floor is where we met Dear. Holiday this weekend, so shes back for the weekend! This Mcdonalds has "TUNA PIE" - That sounds....not the most appetizing.

After we picked her up, we went to Tesco for some stuff. I bought a spikey hair brush, I need that fluffy hair.

My sister is jetlagged, so there was a Blue Cup coffee on the 1st floor. I think it is becoming one of my favorites aside from Starbucks. I keep seeing Starbucks everywhere, so this is a good change.

Day 8 - Me being silly + airport

This is what happens when I have nothing to do today



My dad's brother's wife and daughter visited and brought delicious dessert jellos. All she wanted from the U.S was candy, as in not chocolate, but  HALLS - the cherry flavor only. She can speak english but is afraid too. She doesn't understand that I can't understand chit chat conversation, but I hope she will loosen up and speak english more. She's in 10th grade wanting to study Biology. Mad props.

 Walked along the neighborhood, almost died.
SO CROWDED, so crazy. I met two more cousins, wut?

 Street Vendor making fried rice. This place is owned by cousins so we visited. I liked the fact they couldn't tell if i was a girl or a boy. I didn't know I could be confusing in Thailand either.

 On the way to the airport to pick up my brother, sister, and dad. Didn't know dads friends would tag along, but we needed cars to take the 6 suitcases

 Okay, my first coffee. And it was 12am. Much needed because i was sleepy and grumpy from waiting for an hour + for them.

Looking at the screens to see when they were coming. It was funny to see everyone, I felt like we all were waiting there forever. We all stood there for an hour or so looking at a tv screen. It was like waiting for a roller coaster with so much anticipation built up. Not as cool though because the end result was me saying "Wow Toto, you are still ugly"

 Now it's not a lone trip.

Day 7 - Art Galleries + Design

Today: A hunt for DESIGN stuff.

 Found Bangkok Art&Culture Center housing tons of different types of art and some design (even food design!) Had up to 9 floors. The 7-9th had the artwork exhibitions.

My aunt found TCDC which has a TCDC RESOURCE CENTER. It is super effin AWESOME. Also, really quiet and imtimidating.

We visited it later after.

 There was a Senior Thesis show by the Bangkok University International of Graphics and Multimedia. The theme was time, I saw some amazing things in this gallery and good artwork. Totally better than some of First Friday's exhibits.

Going up to the 7th-9th floors leads you to a 2 story ramp.
 Each has small exhibitions and the ramp had fantastic illustrations and paintings done by various artists!

 This was the top 9th floor. It had some design aspect to it and architecture. Unfortunately not allowed to take photos, but I snuck in one to show you a layout. The right has their bike design project. Awesome awesome! I wish I couldve taken a photo of the design stuff they made

I noticed this sign on the wall....
and decided to do it too! I got a foreigner to take a photo for me because I was traveling alone upstairs.

So onward to TCDC!

 Made it to TCDC, learned it is government funded and houses a library only for members with 25,000+ books and benefits. Theres even a 4,500+ materials collection for product designers or architecture. It is so stylishly modern with bookshelves lined up against the walls with minimalist looking furniture in the middle. It was SO quiet in there. They did have glass rooms in the middle for groups. Apparently after digging through the site there is a kitchen where you can get food and multiple movie screening rooms.

Before I went in though, I went to the exhbition TCDC had of the background of design from different countries.

Afterwards, visited "Mos Burger"...a japanese fine burger place but it didn't really beat burger king.

 Back to the train! There is a subway too. I feel like this is NY.
